Today’s theme: Humility and being humble.
Being humbled isn’t fun. Often times, it is because we lose sight of God and we start focusing on ourselves. In the sense of the Bible, humility is the opposite of pride. A lot of us suffer from pride, even if we are too prideful to admit it! I’m included in this group. I really hate being second-best. I’m not a competitive person by any means, but I hate being out of the limelight. I love basking in the adoration of others when I get an answer right or show off one of my few skills. Every time that happens though, God strikes me with an opportunity to be humble. Friends, this week, let us ask God for humility. Let us toss our pride away and start looking outward to others who need our help.
